When it comes to charity they much prefer basking in reflected glory!
TBF they are doing other things as well and plan to have other fund raising events. If the club choose to release a press release with a positive spin on how the money was raised I dont really have a problem with it especially as we as fans bask in the reflected glory of the club.

But are they doing other things, I see no evidence?
I think this has been handled badly and rather than complain on here I have told the club so too! The fact is though that any donation will be etched as from the fans of Hull FC and not from the club alone, and there will be other events during the year for season ticket holders to make their donations. Should have been a bucket collection at the Local Derby IMHO but its for a good cause and not worth over reacting about!!
Thought this thread was from a Dobbins fan ( Well its from Hutchie ) about how few kids concessionary tickets Rovers were getting for the game, Oh but we'll save that for next week!!!

They have announced them as Charity of the year and worn specific charity shirts and announced they will be doing other events. Does none of that count as evidence?

Hull FC Rugby League Club announced BBC Children In Need as their official charity for 2009 earlier this year. The new partnership was launched at their pre-season match when the club wore their Pudsey endorsed kit and tackled the Leeds Rhinos. James Rule, CEO of Hull FC said: “Hull FC are proud to be working with such a well respected charity as BBC Children in Need. We look forward to supporting its good work in the forthcoming year with the exciting initiatives planned.”
As we are only 4 games into the new season I would expect further events as the season goes on.
