If this signing means we can sign a big aussie or non-fed player then I am chuffed.

I do remember watching a Hudds game on SS when rocket rod had a nightmare at FB and Thorman came in and made things worse...me thinks he needs to play SO or SH to be effective.

So does this mean that Dykes is going nowhere?
Probably, which I'm OK with. If he gets his knee sorted out (it was his knee that he did pre-season wasn't it?) then I think we'll see a bit more of him next year.

Not slating the player himself, cracking player but I see him as a reasonable quality English Stand Off. We already have one of them so I think we've thrown our money the wrong way.
Either way he's signed now so welcome aboard and I sincerely hope im proven wrong.

i think dykes having the op will turn out to be a success, he'll play every game and we'll do the double next year and thorman wont get a game

Not a great signing I'll admit but all things considering is not too bad a signing in the context of the fact we don't have many options for player recruitment due to the scontracts in place already.
At least we have someone who can actually make some distance with the kicks to touch from penalties instead of the 10-15M we been getting all season.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
