I’ve still got Roosters v Raiders on the planner from a few weeks ago and so started watching it again yesterday.
Defensively, for his size, Turpin is a very tough tackler. Put in some great hits and even stopped Horsburgh head on and dumped him on his back. The commentators mentioned his tackling a couple of times.
Yeah, in attack he hasn’t been that involved but his distribution from dummy half is pretty much spot on and quick.
I certainly think if signed to play hooker he would be a big success but I wouldn’t be happy playing him at half back.
