Turpin is efficient, but nothing more, although he played a lot at The Bronco's as a seven , so maybe he's coming for that role. He is defensively a very good tackler and a hard little nugget but not in the same class as Clifford, but who knows under Smith? Appo is a very , very underwhelming signing when the likes of Blore was being discussed and I can't say it has me overly-optimistic, if we are talking about upgrades on our current backrow, I just don't see it with him. Still, got to trust Smith, but maybe we are concentrating our efforts on props for next year, with the youth being given a chance in the back row.

Must admit I'd be disappointed if we signed Appo as I don’t think he is any better than the likes of Griffin or Savelio who we haven't renewed and both were not quota players. Appo for me would be just like another Lovodua scenario an ok player but just not worth using up a quota spot on and simply wouldn't be an inspiring signing at all. Could well be his agent trying to improve his deal with the Bulls?
Think Turpin would most likely be a replacement for Houghton at 9, he seems a very similar kind of player.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Turpin offers very little in attack, never been that impressed with him at halfback or hooker, looked at his stats yesterday no trys or assists, don't think he has even made a tackle bust.
I'd rather stick with what we have than sign him personally.
