I'd heard it was Schneider we've approached and not Lewis .

Me too but I took it with a pinch of salt. Not sure because I haven’t seen enough of him but is he the organiser we need to replace Clifford?

Take Lewis’ speed away and I’m not sure what is left.

sadly its the one thing Trueman doesnt have.Definately lost the bit of pace he had since his injury
Was really liking the Trueman/Clifford combo
Clifford is no world beater but his style of play suits us and like Swift i dont think we will replace like for like the effectiveness these two currently give us on the field

Agree with you on the Clifford/Trueman combo and we’ll just have to see who the club brings in. On Trueman’s speed however, I think he’ll recover it in much the same way Macintosh has. He was struggling with confidence and has certainly regained it. They both suffered similar injuries, it’s taken Mac almost a season but in my opinion he’s a better signing now than we thought we were getting, I’m pretty positive Trueman will work out the same.

I think you got a round further in the challenge cup 2021, however apart from that we’ve finished higher in superleague, and made it further in the challenge cup in each of the past 3 seasons. Obviously made it to the final this year which neither club has done in 5+ years, along with our record derby win in April. That’s probably where that narrative has come from.

2 seasons.
3 seasons ago Rovers finished bottom in 11th (after Toronto withdrew) and we made it to the playoff semi final.

Chris71 wrote:The NRL minimum is still pretty high when comparing to SL and can only see that gap widening. With such a massive disparity in money between NRL & SL and the cap value in SL, teams here are having to use up more and more cap to bring in quality quota players, which is no doubt why the marquee rule was brought in, then extended to 2 players and will see this extended to 3 players in 2024.

Hopefully IMG will come good and we will see a greater interest in the sport generated to bring in much needed income to the sport.

Mclean certainly seems a decent player, though he'll be 33 next season which could be an issue.

With regard to IMG i think they have pulled the wool over the eyes of the RFL ( not difficult though from past experience) and the RFL have bought in to having a large USA media corporation on board with the idea of selling R/L to a wider demographic.
The removal of automatic promotion and relegation is a huge mistake.
If a grading system based on certain criteria like Stadium, fan base, finance, catchment area is the best they can come up as an incentive then nothing will change as it will still be the leading clubs in S/L who compete for the top six and C/C and therefore the performance rating becomes irrelevant to the other S/L clubs.
To lose Cas or Wakefield this season to be replaced by Featherstone is not any benefit to S/L or its image.
We have to hope Toulouse come good and beat them in the playoffs but again a team that finishes at the top of the Championship by several points has to go through a play off system is just ridiculous.
Realistically from next season there is no way back into S/L for any Championship team unless a team in S/L goes bust and many will go part time.
Apart from Toulouse who if they dont get back in S/L next season may pull out of the RFL i see Bradford as the only team to have a chance of ever entering S/L but that would take a very wealthy owner coming in,and moving the team to one of the cities football stadiums and as i said it would still probably have to be due to a S/L club going bust
.

Sorry but how can you say he’s the organiser we need when you’ve not seen much of him?
