Absolutely. I played the game in the Works league and the coaches in those days drilled into you. Tackle owt that moves . Run hard. Back up . Never let your head drop. Also remember him telling everyone at training I learn more from you lot if your getting beat. Rugby IMO is a simple game. But you must show desire and heart. Am afraid ATM we are lacking that.
once a black and white always a black and white COYH

Yes 3 days a week they do , not sure if it varies though, depending on when we’ve played or play next , or if it’s just 3 days a week every week for a few hours .

If that's the case then that explains the turd we are seeing on the pitch and is just simply not good enough and may as well be part time.
I know in the past I used to see players in some of the coffee shops by 1-2pm which had me wondering back then just how much time is actually spent in training.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
In defence of Adam he is an intelligent man & he feels the current pain probably more than we do !
It is HIS money that the club relies on to survive, I am absolutely certain that he has tried desperately to secure additional funding & sponsorship - I am pretty sure that if the right deal was on the table he would walk away, but clearly the club lacks that super wealthy supporter to solve all of our grief.
I remember the Gateshead 'merger' which saved us from almost cetin extinction - so things can get worse. Look at clubs like Bradford & Widnes, who would have believed they would fall so far.
We do NOT have an entitlement to be a top 4 team & always contesting major finals - last time that happened was over 40 years ago !! These are indeed grim times but attacking all & sundry isn't going to wave a magic wand. For me I will keep attending & spending - lets face it in any negotiations a large & very loyal fanbase is our best selling point & what saved us last time.
Did I read somebody mentioning selling players ??? Do these posters not follow the sport ? The days of selling Lee Crooks & Gary Schofield must be still fresh in their memory.
Others calling for Severs, Balmforth, Charles etc to play out the season - again do they watch the games ? These youngsters absolutely do need nurturing, protecting & developing. I do share concerns that we may lose the cream of the crop to other clubs. Losing Cam Scott to Wakefield would be the most telling sign of our financial plight.
There is zero defending Pearson at this point, in my view at least. He was happy to be a sole owner of a club in a minority sport when the going was good, his inability to build upon that and his naivety has well and truly come back to haunt him.
My greatest concern is that we are currently heading in the direction of a Bradford, you can call that exaggeration but the signs are there. No investment, no assets, no on-field results and a slowly diminishing crowd.
As said countless times on other threads, the most frustrating factor is the lack of communication. We have just been pumped by at depleted Leigh side at home (yet again) and what do we get? 'We're wearing the away kit next match, buy it now!'. I don't even consider AP as an intelligent man if you can be so oblivious to the current feelings within the lifeblood of this club.
This is a club at crisis point, whether you like it or not. And ultimately it lies with one person. I am just glad now that people are calling it out for what it is.
