For the record I wasn’t moaning, just thought the club would have been a little more pro active in terms of the new Coaches arrival given the poor season just gone, the overhaul and the timing of his arrival in terms of the first renewal deadline.
Just watched the interview and like his ideology. Thought he came across well and interesting to hear his view on how the players come back to start pre season, for me he seems to have already started them having to take accountability as Pro players. As Pete said I wouldn’t like to be a player that gets on the wrong side of him. He comes across as a Coach that is measured and pragmatic in approach and not afraid to listen to his staff.

Also very interesting and heartening to hear the interviewer state that despite everything we have all had to endure in the last few seasons we are almost up to 6000 season ticket sales after just over a month of of release. We must still be up there with the most long suffering and loyal fans in the business. Great too for all the disbelievers to note that Jon Clark is here already and sitting in on the coaching staff meetings on Sunday and Monday this week.

Like what I heard in Johns first interview, appears very calm and measured but equally very clear on what he expects from his players.
Touches on how quota is full, and that any recruitment would most likely be domestic, suggesting that Sao won’t be going anywhere (for now). There is room to spend if the right person comes available.
Overall pretty promising, as mentioned above zero mention of either Myler or Pearson, which is odd for that type of interview. Maybe as to why will come clearer today…

I also liked his thoughts re the club, players and fans which he highlighted that aspect with Paramatta being part of the community and that the players here will understand that.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Three trails of thoughts from me:
1. If it is indeed Thirkill investing, maybe nothing could be said officially until his tenure as Leeds Club President was complete. Seeing as that ended yesterday, hopefully that means that there's nothing to stop any announcement today. 2. Wouldn't be at all surprised that we don't hear anything until the week of the Fans Forum and Dinner so that everything has a positivity about it. 3. I'm making this up as I go along and I am now off for a cuppa and a bacon sarnie.

On the Cartwright interview, it very much feels like a fresh start. Forget about last season, it's over and done with as far he's concerned. Liking that he also wants them to be professionals and look after themselves. Think the shape they show up in on Tuesday will tell him a lot about their individual characters. Also like how he emphasised that the signings we have made are more about what they are going to bring to the younger players and aiding their development.

Hull Live saying closing in on 6k pass sales. Sounds promising but hard to compare to other years as I dont remember us having an early November deadline for cheaper prices and then end November deadline reserved seat deadlines before.
Still it isnt the mass exodus some predicted and even if pass sales stopped right now with walkups, corporate and away fans we'd be over the 7.5k IMG points threshold.
