Minnie as in menzies or minichello ? If you mean minichello mcqueen 100% better than him
Menzies better no doubt though
Sorry meant Menzies, but thinking about it, id have peak Mini (2016/17) over 2022 Mcqueen, decent player who scored a lot of trys, but think Mini was overall a better player.
No one is saying Mcqueen is a mug, he is a good SL player, but to sign him for the 2024 season at his age would be a big gamble, why do you think Hudds only gave him a 1 year deal?
Whilst I'd agree McQueen played well last year for me at the age of 35 he isn't a player we as a club should be looking to sign. As Dave says it would be a massive gamble to sign any player of that age and with all due respect McQueen in nowhere near the likes of Ellis or Menzies. As we have found out all too often over the years even just re signing aging players has proven costly no matter how good they had been for us the previous season.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

No chance mini was good no doubt esp 2016
But mcqueen better mcqueen has played origin
Mini never got close to origin
Our fans deffo rate players better than they actually are
Carlos been a prime example hardly got a game in nrl never got in any dream team selections....yet some of our fans still think he's the best centre over last 5 years
Griffin and fonua at their best were better than Carlos for starters let alone rest of SL

I'm comparing their respective best years in SL, so playing Origin has nothing to do with it, based on their best SL seasons Mini was better IMO.

Not likely to prove popular with the fans if true, and it does use up the final quota place but your new coach is apparently very keen on his OOC former player and his versatility does cover two positions he wants to be strengthened.
Wouldn't surprise me, its certainly the current trend for promising young players. Don't blame the lads for giving it a try either, the potential riches on offer over there are so much greater than here.

Plus the lifestyle
Totally agree, if he gets the opportunity I don't think anyone at the club or any fan would begrudge him taking it. He is certainly a very promising player with a lot of potential.
As Scarrie says the potential to earn an awful lot more in Aus plus Bonaires comment re the lifestyle its a non brainer and something that the UK game just can not compete with.

Although the possible loss of one of our starlets is regrettable, but it is also a very positive indicator we as a club are taking, for far too long we have neglected our youth policy, Riding & Shenton are bringing these kids through, and further investment from AP has for me anyway, galvanised my hopes for our club.
We need to be like Saints Wigan & Leeds producing talent others want, then having the ability to go back to the well for the next one, looking forward to the season opener, with the added attraction of Knocker bringing the match ball out, really good memories of this superb player, “one Stevie Norton”
