I was at Wembley for the match having planned it into a business itinerary coming from Aus. Totally frustrated that I had to leave for the USA on the following Monday and missed the win in the replay at Leeds.
Where I was sat at Wembley, I was sure that Sammys conversation had gone over and won us it, the replay at Elland road was amazing, I remember feeling deflated about our chances recalling Tony Dukes and Sully, but we were outstanding and that was my first challenge cup win.
Thinking about it was it Lee Crooks or Sammy senior moment

There wont be anybody about today who'd seen the previous one to '82. Twas a great nite in the kop end at Elland Road. Makes you realise how spoilt we've been recently.

It was fantastic Wiz we went on train, and was in a pub afterwards watching it on MOTD reliving it again in such a euphoric atmosphere, the police came in the pub telling us our trains were leaving early, we didn’t care, never has bitter tasted like champagne.
Even now I’m like a kid, our lass “your porridge is ready stop daydreaming” my mind can’t stop thinking about Saturday, will it rain, can we do it.

I can remember a train load pouring into the kop end well after kick off which made it even more rammed. Fantastic atmosphere.
