Exactly pace wasn't an issue, we score plenty of long range tries that season, we did lack some creativity with Shaul and Carlos as pivots, but the main reason we didn't win the GF, was we switched off after the cup win.

Every season since about 2013 we've switched off in August and September (not counting 2020 as it was on very different timescales) its a recurring problem under several coaches abd it didnt seem to matter if we were top4 or bottom 4 at the end of July either.
I hope and pray we arent going to do the same this year. I cant take any more

bit of sucking up there to the forum Moderator Chris normally does post common sense but cant be seen to be too left or right wing due to his Mod position

Some people just don't seem able to deal with opinions that don't align with their own. They should create one of those locked down forums like the dobbins have where everyone can agree that everything is wonderful. I'll just stick it out here and say my piece and ignore or counter anything I don't agree with. I won't start whining when someone posts things I don't like

I'm neither here nor there, full on criticism or an everything is rosey in the garden sort of bloke. What is quite interesting is that plenty who thought Smith was the answer to all our problems (an experienced head coach and the missing piece of the jigsaw) are the same ones who are now promoting others to be patient. I'm not against that but when they've got it so wrong in the past you do start to wonder about their overall judgement. Probably natural optimists which isn't a bad thing I suppose.

good post. smith was never the answer, less so when he brought stan with him. A complete dinosaur out of touch with the current state of the game.
People should think and believe what they want, challenge others on their differing opinions but no way should we be trying to shut up or censor someone just because we disagree with what they are saying
