Well as for Grix some on here have sympathy some as usual don't have any. What a surprise!
But, that's a rather wide spectrum of thoughts in the YP and something I think would have been better said at the end of the season. Imagine what we are likely to see on Saturday, after that has been digested by our disenfranchised and demotivated players as they munch through their Dietary McDonalds this lunchtime.
Not the best motivation I'd say. However when you look deeper then for a bloke who wants to stay at the club next season, its a rather damning appraisal of where we are as a team and indeed where the organisation is overall. For me in those circumstances, for him to say that is not sour grapes or a defence mechanism its just an indication of his frustration and that stuff that influences the product on the field, is beyond his control as coach.
And, something that perhaps indicates that the organisation is rotten throughout there are issues at board level downwards and those issues are far bigger than just sorting out a few seasoned professionals and a couple of aging super stars for next season. How the hell did we get to this parlous situation. I know some will now paint a happy happy face on it all and say stop being such a doom merchant Wilf, and of course I'd like to think that the silence of Myler and Pearson are the harbingers of big positive changes to come, that are still under wraps; we had better prayer they do come too, but what if they don't come, is there then any way back?
As for Grix I have some sympathy for him at present he is putting on a brave face but I wonder if he will walk at the end of the campaign anyway or even be pushed, for comments like those, even if they are true, will be looked on as 'unhelpful' upstairs and will be remembered.

I just think his comments to the press sometimes are wrong. Last week Barron And Martin mentioned in the pre match presser because of potential NRL enquiries. Grix then says they may reach potential but they're no where near it now and both still make a lot of errors. Come to the game both players have shockers. And I'm not surprised.
Grix has hammered Balmforth this year weekly in the pressers and then make very very dubious selection calls. I am not a coach but scratch my head at some of the selections as of late.
A major major boo boo was not replacing Reynolds. Massive loss he's turned out to be. Cust hasn't played a game for Salford since coming back from injury. I question why we didn't push to get him for the rest of the season
What are the things Grix is on about that are going on that fans are not seeing?
Overall I don't see how Grix can stay after his comments. I just can't. Its cone across massively like he does not care, which will rub off into the players
What is the positive news that Myler and Pearson and staying quiet for? As I think fans need something positive after this season

But leaders don't look for excuses and lament their luck like that. Had Gareth Ellis been given the interim job, could you see him giving an interview like that?
Myler-Ellis would be a very different power dynamic!
Ellis wouldn’t complain about being given poop - he just wouldn’t take it in the first place. Myler needed someone to take poop, not a leader. I think that interview is Grix realising he’s sacrificing more than he bargained for, and he’s kinda trapped. Walking and spilling the beans at this point would damage his reputation even more, but it’s tough to stay completely quiet while your career aspirations go down the gurgler.

not FC related, but Davey has come ou tonight saying he wants to build a new stadium for the Giants, would be interesting how much a smaller capacity ground would cost, anything over a 10k capacity would be surprising!
If the walton street sports village gets the nod, it may give us an idea of costs!

Ken Davy deserves the upmost credit for the work and money he puts into that club, struggle to see how they’d be able to afford to build it besides his own pockets.
