Will he have to acheive certain targets in order for compensation to be paid in the event of dismissal? Anyone?
All depends on what it says in his particular contract! If he's sacked rather than resigns though I'd say it's pretty certain that he'll get paid compensation.

Would think it depends what is written in to the agreement which could be more or less anything as long as both parties agree it. I wouldn't be surprised if there are binding targets in this case.

I don't know if it's already been posted, and I'm not going to trawl through 21 pages to check, but if people want to complain the decision, a good way would be to email/ring the club and as if this is an april fools joke.

Timo to move on, he is our man so we need to support him and team and hopefully they will come good. As things stand right now we are in a good position in the league.

Move on? It was only officially announced this morning!
I agree though that the team needs our full support tomorrow, but it seems to me that rather than the club intending this to be a 'timely boost' ahead of the derby, it is more a case of them attempting to bury bad news in the hope that if we manage to win tomorrow this will all get forgotten about.

That would be an incredibly risky strategy bearing in mind Rovers are favourites to win tomorrow and defeat would/will only intensify the debate. As you say time to get behind the team.

A yes man that comes cheap, no wonder Rule snapped him up for another couple of years.
Indeed, across Hull and accross the Penines there are people feverishly pressing F5 on the news page, some in the hope it is true, and some waiting in the hope it's an April Fool, soon to be retracted!

No, I said the team needs our full support tomorrow when they play Hull K R. It's perfectly possible to do that while the rest of the time expressing opinions regarding recently released controversial news about the future of the club.
It's a shame that only a matter of hours after the club has released what is one of the most significant announcements they will make this year, some fans are already trying to quell debate over it simply because the majority of opinion (on this forum at least) appears to be negative.
