I don't understand how Trueman and Carlos can make up 25% of the cap. Somebody above posted that means roughly £500k between them, so £250k each. Marquee players only have £150k of their salary count on the cap, so only £300k of their salaries should count on the cap which isn't equivalent to 25%. Or we idiotically haven't officially made them marquee players and are losing out on £200k worth of cap space because of that.
Or, Pearson is telling a load of bull and they're both not actually earning that much and as we all believe ourselves, we're not at, or close to, the full cap.
I think it’ll be latter. If they are on 300k between them, then 20% of 1.5 million cap spend is 300k. So he either got his percentages wrong or the salary cap spend wrong. I know what my moneys on.
It's gotta be that. They may be on 20/25% of what we are actually spending (which is still absolutely ridiculous) but there is surely no chance at all they both make up 20% of the 2.1m salary cap. I didnt listen to the interview but surely the interviewer called him out on that and asked for further explanation?
Not able to quote reply people at the moment for some reason.
Misinterpreted the 20% i believe. No way Trueman and Tuimavave are on 400k+ between them. I believe he meant, we are missing 20-25% of cap each week. 40% missing for saints game

- there is 2 or 3 'potential' investors then in the same 10 minutes said these investors were ready to put money in (make of that what you will)
- working with a corporate brokerage in Leeds to sell his equity within the club to gain capitol
- new DOR (director of rugby within the next week announced Tuesday)
- NRL signings are put on hold until they find the right man, looking for an NRL 7 for next year (Adam said it was near impossible to find nrl pedigree at this stage)
- within the year they are hoping to be among the top 5 clubs in spend
- they want to get back to the dizzy heights of 3 marquees ^ within the next year
- costello new build stadium is not a viable option *pipe dream*
- lease w/ council and mkm stadium will be renewed for at least 4 years
- nu brown left PREDOMINANTLY on compassionate grounds, was his girlfriend who persuaded him to go back
- tex hoy wasnt part of tonys plans and had ample 'chances' to regain his place
- tony was upset when he was told he was leaving
- simon grix will be in the mix if he wins the next 3 on the bounce
- the changing room spirit is high .... reminded the fans it only 7 games in
- Adam got flustered when asked about the cap and said he doesn't know why people are so bothered about the input (spend) instead of the output (players)
- Hull FC are @ cap which is £2.35m (he offered any challenger to go to his office in person to see the paperwork themselves)
- Jake trueman and Carlos T are taking 20% of the cap space
- investment side, nobody from hull has come forward and hes tried his hand with the loyal sponsors but there isn't enough rich men within the city who want to invest
- mally walker, nick barmby, scott taylor = adam laughed and said no chance
- something he will regret saying = a direct quote 'i wouldnt want nick to part with his hard earned money alongside with mine in the current state' essentially saying i dont want my mates to lose money just some clown investor instead
I wouldn’t still be surprised if it is walker and maybe barmby, he said I wouldn’t ask nick , maybe barmby asked him . And he said from hull , where does walker live , last I heard barmby lives kirkella way so he’s boy lying . Played Down more the other name that got mentioned I thought , was it young ! Hes a business man , good at deflecting questions is Pearson . If no new investment was imminent, why would he have all these bright ideas of top 5 , 3 marquee players etc . Last time we heard from him it was all doom and gloom and the covid loan . I expect it to happen soon .
I do kind of agree with the previous post. While I wouldn't be surprised if nothing does come to fruition (just kind of get used to it when you're a Hull fan) I do think things will move a lot quicker than Pearson is making out. Seems to be things all of a sudden in motion; coach gone, players rid of, new back room staff been added, all of which costs money that Pearson has spent ages telling us he hasn't got. While it might take a while for things to confirmed and made official, there could be a chance that any new investors have already put it a small amount of money to just get things moving slightly. I'm possibly clinging on to things a bit too much but I do wanna believe there are better things around the corner.
