As for what he says about the complaints from clubs that are 'relegated' not on league position but on grading that's a given. They all signed up to it but when it's actually them that's going down on their grading rather than their league position, there will be hell on with a lot of shouting, recriminations and no doubt threats of legal action.

On a side note you can tell Pearson used to work for Leeds United :) I perosnally dont agree at all about his comments about Elland Road being a better Magic venue than Newcastle.

But back on topic...he is right that without money any ideas from IMG wont go anywhere.

Seriously what have IMG brought to the table that has or looks to enhance the game.
You could have a fans panel who in my opinion would create more meaningful ideas than IMG.
The first IMG invoice for £500,000 hasnt gone down well and i can see why.
The game needs marketing and IMG have done nothing in that respect.
Do they seriously think Fantasy Rugby league is the way to attract young fans or market the game?
Once again the RFL are being taken for a ride which is easy to see when you look at the calibre and quality of staff they employ.
The shake up should be here.Believing a big name on your books like IMG whos claim to fame currently is wanting to scrap magic weekend and pointing out that several clubs grounds are not up to scatch is the answer to developing Rugby league in this country is deluded.

Pearson interview with Hull Live confirms pass sales now at 7500. Believe we sold 8300 last season so we are 800 down with 3.5 weeks to go, so likely will end up slightly down. Still not bad given how bad the team has been.

He still has significant control via his other company - Hull FC 2011 Limited.

Yeah, seems weird to file this now though and coincidental with the plea for someone else to come in. Idk :)

No idea what everybody is reading but all sounds interesting.
Maybe hear something from the club at 6pm if it's something along the lines of a new face coming in.
