I'm too old to get that involved anymore!!!
When we were at Wembley, they wanted us to lose no doubt at all, not one I have ever known from that side has wanted us to win and quite frankly from the point of view of a guy who has been a season ticket holder for 64 years and who has no mates that are Rovers fans (because I jettison these guys as soon as they tell me who they support) I think I have just about seen it all. I'm pretty philosophical about it, no I won't be watching and quite frankly I hope the buggers lose.
I mean to say can you honestly imagine any Man City fans wanting United to win the Cup! It's about passion and loyalty and unblinkered bias to the club you love. Rovers fans get that the other way as well, completely, and I guess after the insults, derogatory comments and disrespect that we have received from everyone from their Chairman downwards over the years, It just cements my view that I can't have any allegiance to them at all, be they from Hull or not!! Yes I hope they lose and if they don't I don't really give a tinkers cuss really. From Monday the world goes on and we play Wigan on Friday!

As a young (at the time) veteran from the Battle of the Boulevard I would suggest some who are no longer with us would be turning in their graves with any airy-fairy sense of bonhommie shown towards our city rivals. We fought them from Boulevard, the length of Selby Street to Anlaby Road flyover ffs. Any token sense of civilty was dispelled on that particular Good Friday, never to return again. Up the Leopards.

Am sure if they win he will be on here as soon as the whistle goes telling all and sundry what a great team he supports and what we as a club should strife to achieve. If they lose well we won't hear from him till we get beat again

Talking about Selby Street, and on a memory tangent, remember walking down there for a night game not long after Kung-Fu Bruce had burnt the Hastie kids out. Was a Floodlight game from memory. Was a dark winters night and particularly eerie after what had occurred.
