Ellis and Danny Brough would have been in had we signed them at their peak, McMenemy , Scott Logan Paul King Motu Tony Shaun Briscoe,Tom Briscoe, Matthew Dykes and Sidney Domic were also great for us. Had Dykes been fit at Wembley in 2008, we may well have beaten Saints that day.

Scott Logan was ok - never great. McMenemy was massively underrated. Sign him from an Aussie side we would have classed him as a great import, but signing him from Halifax kind of went against him.

IWe didn't get Ellis at his peak, but for me, he has to be in the back row. He captained us to 2 x Wembley wins, back to back, and completely dominated virtually every collision he was in

Sorry GB but Ellis should be the first name in there.

O'Meley and Fitzgibbon were good signings but both past their peak.

That's opinions for you isn't it? I loved Ellis, but for me Adam Maher was also a great player, massively under rated and his defence was immaculate, Willie Manu was awesome and so good for us in a decidedly average squad. Ellis did dominate collisions , no doubt, but his injury record wasn't great and he had definitely peaked at Wests. O'Meley and Fitzgibbon, while past their best, were both origin and full Aussie internationals, plus Fitzy was a handy kicker. Be nice to have all three next year wouldn't it?

Agree thought full back was always hornes best position esp early days with his pace

Noticed Jason Smith making pretty much every list and rightly so

Imo our best player in the Super league era by a country mile no one gets close to him was a class above esp 2001 and 2002

A few peripherals ones, for me -

Shaun Berrigan
Sam Moa
Fonua (first stint)
Craig Fitzgibbon

Best signing to never happen -

Michael Crocker

I think I could chop and change my personal best 13, but Best, Swain, Smith, Kearney and Cooke feature in all variations.
