Can see Staveley getting some game time now. Saturday would be a good opportunity to have another look.

Litten McIntosh Carlos Sutcliffe Swift Trueman Clifford Tag Mint Sao Savelio Lane Fash Subs Brown Satae Dwyer Scott Cator took a knock early on in the derby so can see him been rested if Savelio fit, Litten over Shaul for me, Gardiner to miss out for me. Might as well have Scott on the bench who can cover a few positions.

Disappointed not to see Staveley named in the 21 mans squad for Cas if I'm honest given the fact that Lane has been and continues to be lacking in any real form.
Hull 21-man squad: 2. Adam Swift, 3. Carlos Tuimavave, 4. Liam Sutcliffe, 5. Darnell McIntosh, 6. Jake Trueman, 7. Jake Clifford, 8. Ligi Sao, 9. Danny Houghton, 10. Chris Satae, 11. Andre Savelio, 12. Jordan Lane, 13. Brad Fash, 14. Joe Lovodua, 15. Joe Cator, 17. Cam Scott, 20. Jack Brown, 25. Davy Litten, 26. Harvey Barron, 29. Jamie Shaul, 30. Scott Taylor, 33 Brad Dwyer
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

With Hoy out for a few games, makes much more sense to give Litten a run of a few games than Shaul.
Disappointed about Staverley, but if he didn't make the Rovers 17, he has less chance with Savelio and Sutcliffe back, I'm sure he will get his chance later in the year.

Yep I agree, as you said pretty much same as me in regards to Lane as had Griffin not been banned Lane wouldn't be playing. Even since the ban Lane just hasn't stepped up and his form all season has been pretty poor (as it has for some time), especially defensively. With Griffin now no longer at the club I'd have hoped we'd see Staveley being introduced in to the 21 even if it was just to but some pressure on Lane to perform (knowing a player is there waiting).
As you say from the reports on how Staveley has been playing he certainly can't offer or perform any less than Lane.

Has Staveley been ripping it up in the championship?
Not seen his name much on the try charts and for a 2nd rower/centre should be getting his fair share in lower league if he really "is all that"
Heard all this about Hookem and ended up releasing him and he's hardly getting a look in at cas either!
Gotta up the intensity in this game from last week. While it's nice that we have a favourable run in, we need to remember the teams we're going up against are desperate for wins to avoid relegation, starting tomorrow with Cas. Think they will offer more against us than Rovers did last week, but I feel if we get a quick start like we did against Saints then we could run up a good score in the end. Cas seem to start games really slowly this year and then improve 2nd half.
