Rather play Severs, im sure Saints or Leeds would, we just don't seem to give young players enough of a go.
Exactly and I don't quite understand why BH is persisting on playing Johnstone when he made it clear he was surplus to requirements at the end of last season. With Cator now back there should be no need for Johnstone to be in the 17. Severs has been given high praise from the Coach and club so surely with Lane's injury now is an opportunity to put him in. The likes of St's, Wigan and Leeds don't hesitate, they put trust in their prospects and give them a chance to shine knowing its no guarantee but they try it yet at Hull for some reason we still seem to have a mindset to put square pegs in round holes.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!
Not really a happy team at Hull, are we? The selection is quite obvious and even we, the crowd, can see that Johnstone is purely there to fill a place , the kid is way out of his depth and it is unfair to persist with this , especially when ready made, trained and hungry prospects could be given a chance.. I get that they would normally be phased in to the action, alongside seasoned pro's but we don't have that luxury do we? Got to start questioning the recruitment too, Reynolds is a great character, but I'd imagine he is in the higher wage bracket of our squad and his injury record, is concerning but also predictable, given his NRL stats just before we signed him. I seriously doubt that this coach is the man to lead us back up the SL ladder, I think he is way out of his depth and is not a great tactician, or it would seem, motivator. We should have gone with a disciplinarian type, we need a coach who inspires and will not accept the slack and careless attitude that pervades in the current squad. I honestly think that Luke Gale's suspension has done for this team, along with a plethora of injured stars, we need to dig deep and tonight will tell us a lot about the team, in my opinion. Lose, or win, with pride - acceptable but lose and be careless and unprofessional and we really do have issues.
Mitch has to play out wide. Shaul fullback Connor/Lovodua halfbacks
I'd even play Sao at loose forward over Fash and move Fash to the second row, and utilise our current strength which is our pack with Satae and Brown starting and Evans and Bowden off the bench
Boss it down the middle, lots of carries from the big lads let's tire Leeds out and give the ball to Connor and Lovodua near the Leeds line.

Connor 1, Shaul Wing, Mitch Centre, Lover 6, Sao 2nd row, Evans and Satae starting props Brown starting 13, JJ and Bowden on the bench, that's some of the team tonight.
Always the Optimist never the Pessimist. Glass Half full not half empty man me.
