If I'm getting rid of a back it would be Fonua, quots spot, one of our highest paid players and really hasnt performed.
I agree We have to give Swift a chance as he is a decent wing and has pace Fonua has been a liability this season.Ratu taken a lot of criticism having to defend also for Fonua. Never a speedster but seems to have lost the pace and power he had
From the outside looking in i think Connor must stay at 1. I would say a ball playing half is a must to compliment Sneyd's kicking game, a centre and 2 speedy wingers. I think you look good in the forwards, the emergence of Cator has been impressive. The lad is going to be a hell of a player. 2 wingers i hear you say? I don't think Faraimo is effective as a wingman, This might sound really silly but do you think he could be converted into a second rower? He has the power, size and speed.

Think he lacks the size. stamina to play in the pack. I like him as a winger - his ball return is fantastic. We can overcome his lack of speed, if we have raw speed on the other side - which we did with Ratu. With him leaving, we need to replace that.
I like Connor at 1 too - but we don't need a ball player at 6. We need speed, agility and a runner.

The game is all about pace now and we have to address that starting with a fast running half back Wigan are showing the way signing Field who is exceptionally fast. They no doubt have the fastest backs in S/L next season

I think for 2021 we certainly need to add some genuine pace with the loss of Ratu & Kelly and Shaul being out for what maybe most of the season.
I think a replacement for Kelly is also going to be a must with unless we sign a FB and put Connor back at 6.
In the forwards I think the improvement in Satae and Sao have made to our go forward with Taylor, Bowden, Fash & Brown we are better than we were but still could do to add another that can make yards. As much as I’ve wanted to see Masi succeed I just don’t see the aggression in him to take his hand further.
As for the second row it depends if Jones stays or goes really. If he stays then no additions needed but if he goes we definitely need to find a replacement.
Guess it’s all down to whoever the new coach is and what they see is needed for how they want us to play moving forward.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Pretty much on the money there Chris, there is another avenue we could pursue, if Jones is going, move Griff into the second row, and rather than look for another second row, a centre with pace, Wardle maybe, as we will need more speed in the backs. A six as well as another prop if possible would put us in a good position.
Before ccs cancels his Christmas turkey, knowing the financial restraints on most clubs, we will be very fortunate to achieve this.
