When fit Lunt leaves Houghten in the shade.
Can’t say I really have time to do so. But, as you say ‘when fit’. Danny Houghton is rarely injured for long periods and is an absolute machine. Would I rather have Danny Houghton or an injury prone, plays sporadically hooker from across the river, Id always pick Danny. Also tackle 52

Seriously do we have to descend into this farce? My father's bigger than yours, it's a joke and ruins debate. Can't you just accept both teams have key personnel out thus making it a level playing field and to be fair Houghton was far from his best last season.
Coaching implications and desire will decide this 1.

Lunt has hardly been injury prone in his career. His illness could have affected anyone, he has been very unlucky.
You are correct about Houghton though, he is a machine. In the modern game the hooker is one of the pivots and you look for far more than topping the tackle count. Flair and creativity are needed, attributes Houghton seems to lack. Probably as he is knackered being a machine every week.

Well it wasn’t actually me who started the ‘farce’. And I’m simply saying I wouldn’t have those players from Rovers...

This season with the reduction in the number of interchanges it will be interesting to see how teams that regularly spelled the hookers will fair. We know what we get with Danny Houghton he can do 80mins and are usually a better side with him in it. Last season he was pretty much below his previous and usual standard but then no body else was that great either for various reasons.
At times his distribution is poor and laboured but is that all down to Houghton alone, or more to do with the way Radford sets the team to play. Our attacking deficiencies aren't down to Danny Houghton it's down to whats seems like a lack of attacking structure and options in Radfords game plans or if we do have that then we have a group of players that are incapable or carrying any of it out.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

I think it will be a narrow defeat, they have the edge at halfback if Connor is out, previous seasons our pack would have got us home, but we are weaker whilst Rovers are stronger.
Personally if Connor is out id go with Scott and Griffin, if he is available Griffin and Miloudi.
I don't think the result is a forgone conclusion like some Rovers fans think and I don't think, but we will need to show some real fight and take our chances which we failed to do so many times last year.

So other than being able to play for 80 minutes he's has not really anything going for him.
