Defence isn't good enough. 30 odd missed tackles last night and points against by far the worst of the top 6. We compress our defence so team can run around us and still we're missing tackles in the middle.
Far too reliant on tries from kicks or pieces of individual brilliance.Other than an early loss by wire to hudds, I don't think any of the current top 6 have lost a game to the current bottom 5 other than us who have lost 2.
We're very much a mid table team and we'll finish 6th at best and anyone who thinks we can go back to wembley and win is deluded. Simply not good enough. Last year we were patchy but the quality in the side was there but much of it has gone for me and a couple iof players less effective than they were

I agree with Jake, I think this year will be consolidation, too much quality gone and not replaced. Big recruitment/retention for next season required. With the standard of the league and Barba likely gone, if we could keep Kelly and add in two quality forwards to replace Watts and Ellis, get Westy fit and we won't be far off.
Got to cut out the basic errors that we commit every week
Agree with a lot of this , replacements brought in haven’t reached the level of player their replacing and seems without Ellis complacency has crept back in

Probably there was this type of thread last year, particularly as Catalans did the double over us and Leigh beat us at home, yet we still won the cup and nearly made the GF.
I think its different this year, the way we have won hasnt being brilliant.
The second half showing against Huddersfield is the only time we have blown anybody away and everyone is doing that to them it seems.
For me this isnt a reaction to a loss more an assessment of the first half of the season. You cant claim we are waiting to peak either because the basics seem way off as does the attitude. James Child had to tell the players to pack down in a scrum, the mid range kick off, throwing a long ball to a prop forward in your own 20 with a minute to go and the last tackle penalties. That isnt a lack of quality or effort its attitude and dumb.
I feel for Taylor and a few others. Deserve much better, this isnt a Radford out campaign I respect him and feel he knows what hes doing. However he is still learning and for me has got it wrong this season.

Ill say it - Radford has took us as far as he can
League form was poor last season but has got worse this season. I think he has an arrogance that he shouldnt have, like hes some super coach when in fact i think hes good but is not in the top percent of the best coaches in the game. He got lucky having Ellis to drive the team around, now that piece of the mix isnt there were hopeless and he hasnt got a clue how to sort it out. I think he thinks he doesnt need help. I saw Cas's coaching team on TV on fri night - Powell backed up with Orr and Sherridan - they even the Fax coach in the box listening in, Wakey had Chester with Monoghan - weve got Radford and Last - we need more quality and experience in the coaching team
