On a serious note, we're not missing anything IMO. From what I've seen of him this year, he's not got that guile and attacking flair that we saw from him when he was here. He's bigger, but not sure he's much better in defence.

I wouldn't swap him for either of our current centres, or Griffin.

Well, I'm vindicated. I said for ages he was overrated and only his partnership with Lineham helped him out. Lineham broke his leg and Crooks just went downhill. Radford dropped him and he wandered off to Oz thinking he was the best thing at the club.

An insult to Kris Welham. He has worked on his defensive side, but going forward he's just lost any quality he once had. Poses no threat.

In his defence, we have been missing our right-sided half back more or less all year, meaning almost everything goes through Gale down the left. If Ben Roberts had been playing all year, Crooks may well have been more involved. Even the tries we score down his side come from cross-field kicks and the link between McMeekan and Dorn.
