He might end up at 13 but I'm not sure he's up to defending in the middle for 80 minutes every week yet. Tackling props in superleague is a whole different thing to the u19s.

No doubting that long term he'll be a 13, but I don't see the need to play him there just yet. He doesn't have the fitness to make 50 tackles a game like our current 13 does. Westerman was outstanding in that 2nd half at Saints, Abdull isn't capable of putting in those kind of performances, yet. If I was Leon Pryce i'd be worried about my 6 shirt next year with how Abdull has conducted himself in his absence. That said, he's still young and will have games when things don't go so well, it's then Radford needs to know when to take him out of the firing line.

That's it in a nutshell. Still way off (at least 2-3 years) being able to play there full time. 2-3 years in the halves will do him the world of good.
Shaul Lancaster Tuimavave Fonua Michaels Pryce Sneyd Taylor Houghton Watts Mini Manu Westerman
Abdull Pritchard Green/Bowden Thompson/Feka?
IF Ellis doesn't make it next season (a full recovery is no gimme by any stretch) then Green as a possible starter with Watts, we need to find a better balance than we have done this year where time and time again we have two weaker props on and noticeably there's being a loss of impetus. I'm also not seeing how we are officially under the cap with the players we have next year, certainly more high wage earners than this year

Exactly. I think people are so focused on what Westerman does (or doesn't do) in attack they miss the huge number of tackles he gets through. Abdull isn't up to that yet IMO, either in terms of fitness or defensive technique.
Hold on to me baby, his bony hands will do you no harm It said in the cards, we lost our souls to the Nameless One

I thought our defense struggled in midfield when he was out injured. He's a big lad and he he tackles well and I'd be sorry to see him leave.
I like Abdull though and I'm hoping he continues to get long spells in the first team. I'd like to think that it's up to him to get his head down and work at it. At the start of 2016 if he doesn't apply himself in the off-season he could find himself third choice stand off and third choice loose forward.
