I'm at a bit of a loss as to why Hull have signed who they have. Don't get me wrong, your pack is looking fearsome for next season but you can only play 3 back rowers at any one time. You've got Houghton crippling himself because he's got no back up and half backs who have hardly set the world alight. Second row was already your strongest position this season. Sorry if I'm trawling over old ground here, which I no doubt am. I just couldn't be bothered to read past the first page.
What immortal hand or eye, Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
Our forward signings are clearly planning for the reduction to 8.
Whilst I'm not a massive Manu fan he'll give us great balance with Mini in the back row. If they can do 60 each and Big Frankie can do 20/25 on each side other sides won't be able to deal with him.
Ellis, Watts and Taylor can spell the prop rotation with Washy covering 9 and 13.
Feka, Thompson, Whiting, Hadley, Turget all providing good cover.
It looks very promising in the forwards, very promising indeed.

Sika Manu is a great signing. He would be in the 17 of any Super League club, and there are not many of our players we can say that about.
Our recruitment this year has been very impressive. Yes you could say we need a centre and a hooker but the new recruits are upgrades on those who are leaving.
It looks like no-one else will be coming in but what is important now is that we hold on to our key players (I accept some of the bit part players may need to go in order to balance the books) and that we get the best out of the squad, using them to their strengths.
I think next year we will have the strongest squad we have had for several years and we are entitled to expect a marked improvement in performances and results.
First there was wisdom Then there was knowledge Now there is only information

You can add Westerman to that list....unless you know something we don't.

This season, the game seems to have moved away from the forward battle of previous years, with pace and mobility replacing the "heads down, booty up" style of play of seasons gone by. Added to this, a reduction in substitutions in 2017 (and I still think it might be 2016) will move the game even more into the hands of creative, quick players. So as the game is moving towards being more expansive and less in the forwards, Hull have significantly strengthened their forward pack. I'm not sure it wil work, but I hope it does.
I disagree, forwards are still the most important part of the team and win you games, Leeds have the luxury of an NRL back 5, but still rely on their forwards, there key players have still be peacock, cutherbertson (MOS) etc and that's why they have signed Galloway.
Even at Cas you would struggle without Millington and Lynch.
All the players we have signed can do big minutes so 2017 shouldn't be a problem.

Missed him off but Westerman would be our 13. With less subs the ball handling 13 will be back in vogue.
