Exactly. This kind of signing is just a hangover from our several years of not producing enough players of the required standard, and precisely what Pearson said we'd see in the short term (and we have already with Aspinwall and a handful of others).

The only reason I find it strange (if true) is because IMO backrow is about the only position where I don't personally see a need for it (if the big name backrow acquisition is true).
