I have it on extremely good authority that campese was offerd to fc well before the end of last season, we wanted him, but his wage demands scupperd the deal as we couldnt get him on the salary cap..... he ended up basically being offerd around to superleague rivals at a severely reduced rate just to get a gig over here for a year or so... numbers i heard were 140k quoted for fc... ended up on a 1 year deal at 70ish for kr.... but obviously has had an early upgrade, since signing a 2 year extension i think it was....to get players under the cap, you sign players on 3 year deals, pay them a reduced rate in the fjrst year, then significantly improve there wages year on year, so say if player wanted 300k for 3 year deal, he could earn, 80k first year, 100k second year and 120k third year... same as fc did with arundel, so its easier to fit players under tge cap long term

I'd like to see that backline . Totally ineffective if the ball is not moved quickly enough though .

This year's deal at Rovers is subsidised heavily by Canberra. I'm sure that his deal will cost Rovers a lot more from 2016 onwards as the subsidy was 1 year only.

It'll still be a good deal though (as long as he can avoid injury). He's got to be up there as possibly the best signing of the year.
