Here is what one leading Union pundit here has to say about Sam Burgess.
" I will make a fearless prediction here. If Sam Burgess does play rugby, he will be a journeyman player,at best. In rugby terms he is an extremely limited player. He can't pass and his tackling is thuggishly illegal most of the time. He can barge forward with some effectiveness from time to time but has no ball skills."

That's just embarrassing! Who wrote that?. It might make pay a bit of interest to the bore fest, if any league player can be a success in union, its him, he's a beast, with excellent ball skills and foot work. Anyone know if hes joining Bath for this season

The RU club where I coach (sorry no real options here) are discussing Burgess at length. Some curious to know who and what he is. Some eager to see him, some simply dismissing him. His recent stats vs SBW were certainly of interest to some and made a few drool. 24 NRL games 21 carries on average per game 152 average metres made 10 tries 62 offloads 58 tackle busts. So good that some even feel he will be the difference that makes Bath the champions. Even I am now thinking of taking in a Bath game just to see him live and watch how he goes. The man is a beast. I just hope he walks off into retirement ( ) with a winners ring.
