also is really the last Saints-Wigan match at the knowsley road, have they actually started building the new ground yet?
Unless they meet in the CC or playoffs
I think I'm right in saying that Saints will be playing some home matches at Widnes next season until the new stadium is ready? Anyone else confirm this?

more or less correct
saints have to vacate Knowsley road by 2/1/11
they will be likely to use Widnes for a few home games prior to the opening of new stadium which saints hope is early summer 2011- they are likely to play quite a number of away games in the first part of 2011

Totally agree with you there mate...Of the 2 games today,Bill Arthur with Mac Dermott & O*Connor are far and away better than Eddie & Stevo they are well past thier by the sell buy date,....If they (Sky) want to freshen up the commentary teams thay haven*t got to look far.....

Got to agree, after watching the game again when I got home I was happy with that commentary team. Fair, funny and very knowlegeable, what more can you ask for??!!

If we are looking objectively, one match yesterday was between two leading sides in front of a bigger crowd, the other was between a leading contender and a low ranking bunch of cheap shot merchants, watched by a smaller crowd in a dump of a ground. It isn't unreasonable to say that Saints v Wigan was the bigger game.

I cant believe Eddie didn't mention the fact we won 5 games on the trot last year then fell apart. As he seems to of had on every possible occasion this season.
