Also just watched the highlights, absolutely disgraceful defending, no rushing up, just letting the hudds players come to them, then not really being bothered to tackle or chase back any Hudds breaks

The first couple of tries were a bit unlucky, difficult kicks to do anything about, and Huddersfield improvised well. The one Tindall didn't deal with was a poor individual error by him, and the intercept is what it is.
The rest of the tries ranged from a bit soft, to absolutely pathetic. Some of them reminded me of having games with my mates as a kid, and by the end everyone is a bit tired and bored and people are just walking in tries without anyone really bothering to stop them.
Where is the professional pride? Even if you know you probably can't stop the try you should still be busting a gut in an attempt to. All teams have off days, but you never, ever, see a Wigan or St Helens defend like that, even when they are getting well beat. If that's the culture Smith is trying to install then we are in serious trouble.

Jesus just watched the highlights - not one of them looks interested. How can Pearson believe that can be turned around? The whole team looks like its totally demoralised. There has to be serious issues with the coaching for a team to play like this - its staring you right there in your face! As bad as this team is its not as bad as that performance imo.

Attendance looked pretty sparse.!
1,600. Only two games got over 5k and even they were well down (7k at Leeds instead of the usual 15k for example)
Ths Cup cant carry on with this format, all the games will have lost money this weekend. SL teams need to go in a round earlier again with the lowest ranked team at home for some different scenery at least. Also we might win a game against a League1 team

Doesn't surprise me. Part of the problem with the sport is that nobody ever seems to be singing from the same hymn sheet. And on the occasions when they are, it lasts a season or two at best.

Yeh Completely agree even by challenge cup standards those attendances are abysmal and only two/ three games on TV so they can't blame that. We bring in a multi million pound organisation who are top of the tree internationally for sports promotion and development and then over rule them when they indicate the way they think the game should go!! Same scenario with size of Super League and getting rid of loop fixtures. I think for a lot of uninitiated folk the game is getting boring.

Although, wasn't one of IMGs proposals a two legged challenge cup match? Imagine if we had to go in for a second innings this week at 50-4 down
