Unaware of Truemans desire to go west. I hope he doesn’t

Given the number of appearances he's made in last two years and how many of those were brilliant performances, do you genuinely think Trueman should be one of the three highest paid players at the club?

Got to hand it to Richie, he's come in, made some changes, still making changes and made some big calls.

He seems to be building a stronger squad for next year, strength in depth also, which is good. Looks to be getting better value for the money we are paying.
Top to bottom, he has covered covered every inch of this club since arriving, talk about baptism of fire job.

Now, the biggest job from here on out (for me) is to get bums back on seats.
Looking at how empty the stands are, it's heartbreaking how far we have fallen. It doesn't seem that long ago, south and east stand was full, from corner to 'chavs corner' and the only thing that added to the atmosphere was how many fans the away team brought.

We need to get an identity, style of play, something.
We never seem to be called the airlie birds anymore or the black and whites, yet every other club seem to have a nickname they're referred to. Just another way to show how far we have fallen, almost forgotten about.

Dream world, ideal world, fantasy world,.call it what you want, but wouldn't it be incredible if the the new backer/owner spent some money on our.own little stadium, 15k would do. Seating and standing, bringing in our own revenue on game days etc a complete new look, new identity, new Hull FC.

He does have mitigation for his lack of performances/ so start though. The question is do the club think over the next 6-8 years can he lead our side. For me, you can see the talent is definitely there and he has a good attitude. It’s just a lot of money on a player with injury problems.

However, his injuries aren’t recurring so I’d roll the Dice with the final year of his contract and let him have the chance to rip it up after a preseason.

25 isn’t even his peak and both seasons we’ve looked a lot better with him in side without him even been fit

If his trajectory continues and he is brilliant with the youth then yes. What are the criteria for being in that top 3? That maybe a good debate?

The people who attend seem to have money. They pay entrance fee and buy expensive beer and food when there. So cost is an issue for non attenders? That said considering the dross served up the crowds have been ok and I see a lot of younger folk going who presumably aren’t loaded. So there is an appetite. Better performances, better half time entertainment, looking at the days and times of games and some billboards advertising matches would help, along with creative ticket packages. I think allowing characters in the game to flourish is important even allowing skirmishes on the field without yellow and red cards would enhance what is already a great product. On the flip side cut out injury feigning etc to get penalties. For me the attraction of the game is the athleticism, toughness, skill and honesty of the participants. Long May this continue

It's like when we Adam Dykes back in 2008 or Matty head in 2006, both top half backs, but their injury problems meant that they weren't good value for money as you need your halves playing regularly. Id like Trueman to be a success at the club, but based on the last two years we haven't had good value from him, next season is a real make or break season for the club with new signings, new head coach, potential new investor, having a half out for a lot of the season could derail the new dawn quite quickly

To put into context the St Helens stadium cost £25 million 15 years ago. Wouldn’t be surprised if it would cost double now to build similar, considering we don’t have land to sell to put towards who on earth is going to put that kind of money in?

Money aside, I think the perfect location for a Hull ground is West Park. For me anything outside HU3 wouldn’t feel like home anyway. A decent side and decent pricing we could easily average 15K (I’m sure we have not too long ago) and maybe even higher if we sustained any reasonable success at the MKM. A similar stadium situation hasn’t prevented Wigan dominating for periods. I remember getting 18-19K crowds regularly for Bradford and Leeds games. The atmosphere 16/17 seasons wasn’t an issue, and even then we wasn’t exactly unbeatable at home, just had a semi decent side.

I think the clubs need to work to make matches an "event" again rather than just a match. If families/first timers go watch a game, the team loses but you've had a good evening thanks to a decent pre match buildup / half time entertainment etc then you're likely to come back irrespective of result, if you go and the main thing is the match, nothing else and the quality of the rugby is awful, those fans might not come back. People's time of is valuable and whilst you've got the core that will attend 'in any kind of weather' it's the fans that attend the occasional match and may spend their money elsewhere if the product isn't good you need to work on attracting back
