Well said Carl B sorry to hear about your troubles but I agree digs left right and centre from some on here. They be gutted if we do ok. Amazing they talk Balmforth up but has he ever really stood out? No.
Always the Optimist never the Pessimist. Glass Half full not half empty man me.
I was unequivocally calling out the club in the early rounds. I had very little to say and what i did impart was profoundly grim and miserable against the club.
Since then the club have found investment, changed the coach and began a squad overhaul. I'll add to that a real glimpse that the Academy system has been bearing fruit. Credit where credit is due - the club has acted.
I'm a little indifferent and towards "some" of the recruitment but we are hardly an easy sell at the minute and we're looking to climb away from bottom two into playoff hopefulls. I think they're building well.
Jake did make a good point in that we are at least only handing out 18 month/2 year deals, so we obviously have a short, medium and long term plan.
To where we where 8 weeks ago i don't recognise us.

For me I see what’s happening as Myler is undoing the mess first, then putting in some foundations with solid if not spectacular players that will put a shift in week in week out. We also have Cartwright who is now ruling on the overseas players and is seemingly a bit of a task master. As much as we want to we simply arent going to be able to go from Zero to hero overnight however I am hopeful next season will be a big improvement not just because of the changes but why these changes are being made.
I’ll use Salford as a prime example, a group of players who you wouldn’t say were world class, but solid, dependable and ones that work hard for their cause and as a team. If we can replicate that for 2025 then it’s a huge step forward from where we were at the start of this season.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

This is exactly how I see it as well, Chris.
I can't underestimate the damage done to the squad makeup over the previous 4/5 years. We could have kept TS and signed 3 or 4 SOO players but the underlying issues would still have been there. I believe Myler needs to tear it all down so he can start again and build a good culture along the way. I trust the squad will continue to improve over the next 2/3 seasons and then hopefully we can have a crack at top 4.
