Makes sense. He's experienced and will be respected within the group. Will be on the field for 80 mins too.

Only concern is he doesn't come across as a massive talker, but he certainly leads by example.

How much rest does he need? Thats why i said its pathetic to use rested as an excuse for not playing a part in tis weekends friendly

He played practically the full season for Leeds last year. I don't think him missing 40 mins against Sheffield is the end of the world.

If the coaches think he'll be better for it having another week or 2 without a game then that'll do me.

If he misses the Wakey game due to being rested, then I'll start to be concerned. We've got plenty of depth at centre too this season, it's a chance for Mitch or a Scott to force their way in

Heard on good authority that Clifford has been seriously impressive in training, fingers crossed it will become evident this season.
