| Quote ="bonaire"several of us did voice our concern that we were short of an experienced front row
Now three fairly long term injuries to front rows leaves us with no more wiggle room to cover another injury and a lightweight but mobile pack.
There is no way Cator,Savelio and Lane can maintain the form and effort they are putting in playing 80 min every week'"
We need to bring someone in unless we have an academy player ready to step up. Those 3 players can be used through the middle particularly Savelio but leaves us short in the back row.

Difficult though Marcus, as we’ve no quota spot, and any available in England are probably cup tied.

Quote ="Riderofthepalehorse"I like what our new coach is doing, he’s evaluating our squad, don’t know what’s up with Tag & Brownie, or how long the prognosis is. These big guys could do with the scrums returning, a lot of them are on their knees after ">games.'"
I think we all like what Hodgson is doing with the club.
The problem he has now is we are missing Taylor,Bowden, and Masi for a fairly long period.
Brown is fit so will have to come in next week but the point i was making was you cant expect Savelio,Cator and lane to continue playing 80 minutes at the energy level they are now playing without having Subs on the bench to interchange and give them a rest.
Mao coming back will help but we are really short of some size once Satae and Sao come off.
Just hope we can also get these two signed up for one or two seasons more

Have to wonder if Bienek would have impressed once given a run of games

He's played the last two for Cas off the bench, I think. Interesting to see if he plays tonight.
EDIT: No, he isn't in the XVII.

We have other options if necessary, like shifting Mahe to centre, and “you will like this” move Griff into the pack.
Fash has certainly improved and will never let us down. As Marcus intimated, have we another academy starlet who could make his debut?
We’ve gone in with a small squad, and BH has only recruited Reynolds & Mitch, but we’ve almost had the perfect start, another addition up front, would certainly bolster us, it was discussed a lot on here, Even BH said Remi Casty was considered, but I think they thought his age was against this.
Just hope Tag Josh & Massi get themselves back asap.

Yes Griffin is the only back we have who is capable of moviing into the pack unless Fonua fancies himself as a tackle busting front row.
Dont think we have anyone in the academy even ready for reserve level never mind first team.
Luckily if we lose Connor to a ban then Connor Wynne will have finished his two week loan arrangement at York and can slot in at full back

FC had a recall clause on Wynne anyway.

| well the minimum sentence possible yet they were satisfied he actually said what he said. In the current climate of social media boycotts and what is happening in football, for a game so committed to all things equality and to stamping out discrimination its a typical RFL fudge. If anyone doubts our administration inability to run the game this has to be it. Bradford Bulls player George Flannigan was hit with a 10 game ban for a Grade F offense. So according to the RFL, a hit to the balls is worse than racist abuse. They'll claim it was an independent tribunal etc. but to send out the right message it had to be a strong stance if he was guilty, which obviously they deemed he was. With this coming just an hour after we hear that Wakefield Trinity staff have been receiving death threats call me old fashioned but I'm very disappointed with our game at present I'm afraid.

Have to say I agree with you on this. The RFL d as should have made an example of Clubb and banned him for a minimum of 13 games irrespective of his character witnesses. All it’s done is theoretically brush it aside and given the appearance of doing something about it. Giving a minimum punishment and a £500 fine is quite honestly a joke. The RFL had the opportunity to stand up and show it will not tolerate this but they’ve failed and shown they are very weak and the disciplinary panel has for me shown emphatically it is just not fit for purpose.
I’m not for one minute saying Clubb is a racist but the fact remains he has said it and he’s an idiot. It will be interesting to see if there is any public apology from Clubb and any mandatory education on this subject for him.
This great game never fails when it comes to shooting itself in the foot.
You have to seriously wonder if it had been a player of another team what the outcome would have been as I would put my house on it being far worse had it been a Hull, Rovers, Wakey, Cas Hudds or Salford player for example. Had it been a fan then no doubt the RFL would expect the club to issue a life ban no doubt.
I would say it also begs the question as sport that has a large number of players of said and similar origins what message the RFL have sent out to them.
I would imagine Clubbs real punishment for the offence will be when he steps back on the field of play.

| What really bugs me about this and the statement that it was said ‘in the heat of the moment’ then if that really was the case why did he not apologise to Savelio at the end of the game? Instead he was absent which for me says more about Clubb than his character witnesses.
