Was that not a late hit on Charles?
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

No impact on the performance but we've had absolutely nothing this game. Often the way when a team is under the pump though.

Maybe rovers eased off in the second half to keep uncle Tony in post

Looked so much more direct with Charles in the halves and Brown at 9. We have to keep that team for a number of weeks and let them try and build on that second half. Gives Charles the starting half spot until Trueman is back. I still also think we look better with Hoy in the halves over Smith so I'd like to see us go; Hoy Smith Charles Brown (Balmforth bench) Then once Walker and Trueman are both fit again; Walker Hoy Trueman Brown (Balmforth & Smith battle for bench spot) Charles to wait his turn again for any injuries.

Better 2nd half, We look so much better with Brown at 9, time for Houghton to be a back up. I'd start Charles next few games. Not sure if I can feel angry or happy with that 2nd half though.

I feel annoyed knowing that they can play with that level of effort but they've just not been choosing not to until that second half

It can't be any coincidence that our two best halves of rugby have come with Brown at 9. Will Tony see it though?

There seems to be an unwritten rule that Houghton must play 80mins at 9 even if limping on one leg. Been a legend for us but all things come to an end
