Sure he hasn’t turned out to be the player we thought we were getting. Whether that is down to his injury who knows?

I’m also well aware of his brain farts that invariably get punished because we are playing poorly and short on confidence.

But I think there is the makings of a decent rugby player there with some good coaching and if his confidence could be improved.

I'm not, won't make a good winger as no real pace or power, you can't coach that.

Needs ripping up and starting again. Easy to look terrible in rugby when half your teammates arnt having a go.

Not really feeling any of the names weve been linked too apart from Jai Whitbread who would bring brilliant workrate for a prop and plays big minutes.

Much rather play some young lads than sign plodders like daniel smith would be an aboslute waste of cap and prove weve learnt nothing

Agree with your point in general but I think we are desperate for a prop right now, even 10% more umpf from the pack would give the Backs more space to play and lift their performances. Prop is also a postion where age is important, young lads simply arent physically big enough yet.

Any other position and id be dead against signing stopgap players.

And shies away from taking catches. Watch the game back from Friday to witness that. Windy.

Its chaos at the minute as one week its the forwards going missing, but against rovers for the first half i thought our forwards looked interested and made some good yards, shame we decided to pass to anyone but our kickers on the 5th. And this is it with this squad you just dont know whos going to turn up its bedlam with no real leadership and calming influences. Nig problem is at 6 now with mcnamara doing his best hoemr simpson impression of sinking into the bushs and hiding.

So whats it this week the pack, the backs, the non existent 6, the absent leadership, or the bizarre hooking pass selections?

Forwards are lazy, let all the backs do the work, which was OK, when we had Fonua, Talanoa etc, but not with our backs.

In terms of McIntosh he wasn’t in our worst few players this weekend but fans are quick to slag him off no matter what.

We had 0 penetration this weekend and that’s came from pivots and back rowers in my opinion.

Benny Mc can catch and pass but doesn’t influence a game, shaul is only decent in open space and Clifford didn’t have much good ball and then went off injured.

Jordan lane wouldn’t get into the batley side and whilst griffin is tough, will work hard and carry well he’s not exactly a classy back rower.

I agree that any domestic forward we can get in will help us, especially if it can get us a quote spot. I’m hoping Dan smith has a bit of ball playing ability to help us with second phase. Although, I’d like to see some of our forwards stop trying to be ball players and just carry straight and hard.

The DJ strikes again.....
According to the article in the HDM, the option to extend was in the club's favour.
We had a new Manager, surely it was more prudent to let Tony Smith decide, if the player had a good working relationship with the new manager?
We renewed the contract, even before a ball was kicked.
If Satae has his contract already renewed, that leaves us with only 2 quota spots available, ie Lovodua & Evans..
We have very limited scope to bring in any new players..
What a mess !!!

A deal so good they kept it from the fans, a bit like when shaul signed his recent extension, nobody really knew if he'd signed it or for how long...why activate it in the off season though and not during the season when you can see if Saos form/attitude warrants an extension??
