I suppose the only consolation is this season means very little, don't get me wrong it would have been great to play in the Grand Final, but it will always have an asterix against it, it's not the way you want to win your first Grand Final.

Effort is the very barest minimum requirement do you not think? As others have said, this should be a gimme every single game, it's in fact the application of that effort, the small % that make the difference between scoring not scoring, making a tackle or not, effort in holding your discipline or being a div like Griffin was. You can flail your arms and run around seemingly making effort but if you actually don't hit the numbers in a way that positively contributes physical output makes little difference.

Biggest game of not just this season but the last 3, and while we came out with plenty of enthusiasm we look like we haven't prepared at all and have no game plan.
