David Burns asked him if he'd been answering lots of letters from the people who watch Rugby League to which he responded "that can't be true because they cannot write". He giggled away thinking it was very funny, some of us actually think this is a serious matter.
I cannot believe he said that.
Disgraceful if true. Anyway, just compfort yourself with the thought that most of the "faithfull" city stalwart fans are waiting to see what division they are in next season before renewing passes, at least at my work. Cretins!

He said it, even Burnsey said to him " I don't believe you've just said that Mr Chairman".
Whether he was joking or not he's not helping the situation by saying things like that. The City is losing out because of this decision and I feel like others it will hurt us in the future.

Well for someone in his position to be such an idiot does him no credit whatsoever. Agree with you on the City losing out, its a crazy decision.
Someone told me today though (not sure how true this is) that Wigan were also not able to commit a specific date but the RFL would wait until fixtures were announced and work round it, but we were not given the option? Sounds like rubbish to me, especially with what Duffen has come out with then tonight

According to Justin Morgan in todays mail he does
He did it deliberately I'm sure, how nieve to think 'when he bought it' knob edd.
All existing and generally known ways to immortality can be divided into four catagories.
The way of the Fakir.
The way of the Monk.
The way of the Yogi.
The most honourable being 'The way of the FC'
I've said it before and i'll say it again, the KC is JUST the right size to fill and create a fantastic atmosphere for a League International. To play the World Champs would have sold out. Duffin is a cretin. To turn it down is to suggest dont ask us again.

Which poses the question.......
The Wail (with the exception of the letters page) and Blunderside have both gone completely silent on the whole thing today, yet it seems to still be a real "Hot Potatoe" for both sets of fans!
When Duffen blamed the whole thing on the RL Blunderside promised to ask them in an interview for their side of things but now once again silence!
Edit Sorry proved wrong they have read a couple of E Mails out about it Burnsey defensive of Duffen as always but Nick Wood of the Daily Wail said of Duffen, and the lack of an international, "Well its because he's a soccer man" Great!
Make of it what you will!
If Wigan get relegated , then they can place a request with football league for a fixture change . However if they dont get relegated then the request would go to the premiere league who would almost certainly say no unless it was to suit TV.

The decision was made with his Hull City hat on and if he is now sticking by the decision we are never going to get an RL international at the KC again because they are always sorted well before football fixtures come out. This ludicrous situation of being chairman of both Hull City and SMC needs addressing because there is a clear conflict of interests
He is a business man too , and find it hard to believe he would turn away a large crowd which would buy stadium food , drink and other extras that the SMC would make money on . Also the only reason the KC was built is because Hull City would play there . With FC as sole tenant there would be no KC and so no Big internationals of RL or Football U 21's. So you are bad mouthing the Chairman of the club that meant the KC was built.
