Tony Smith said after the Catalans rout that this week he would be working on defence, defence and defence. Good idea Tony but in 3 years at Rovers the defence was no better the day you left than the day you started. Tony had two 11th place finishes at Rovers and I reckon he might get another this year but it could be a tight thing for 11th and 12th between you and Wakefield.
Wakefield at least are battling whereas you lot looked disinterested today. For sure it was the worst performance of any team so far this season. Has Tony demanded a job for his daughter yet?
To be fair to Tony’s time with you. He took you to within 80 minutes of a grand final and Catalans were there for the taking that night but your players bottled it. Your greatest return since the conception of Super League.
We haven't done too much better so I don't think either club has the right to be bragging or belittling the other. They're both not giving their loyal support the rewards they deserve.
We can at least call upon a couple of successes in recent times to give our fans a little joy and memories to take with us.

There's definitely a good few players there that need taking out the team.
I'd have had them back in for tackle training tonight.
Josh Reynolds had a classic flapping arm technique, seems a lot of the players are still influenced by it. Professional rugby players tackling like under 11s It’s the usual suspects. It now appears that even the new boys are doing it.

Can’t remember the last time rovers had 50+ put on them at home. It’s a regular occurrence for you lot

A few drinks numbs the pain and gives me an appetite. It's tonight when I wake up in a cold sweat that I am confronted with the fact that the nightmare was real.

So many of our signings over the years look great in their first couple of games, Reynolds MOTM in his first game, lovodua looked great in his first game, Hoy etc etc but somehow they all get dragged down to a similar performance level of the rest of the team after a few games
What annoyed me apart from everything else, I didn’t see a senior player behind the sticks giving them what for or trying to rally the troops ?
Think it’s obvious now why Leeds let Dwyer go. I’d send Taylor out on loan, he’s living off his past and thinks he’s too big to get sent out on loan. Shaul has to go on the wing against Saints, don’t think Cator is big enough but he puts more effort in than that overpaid shower !

Who are the actual leaders in the squad though? We lack an Ellis / Swain type leader that players look up to and will listen to when the chips are down
