Wasnt the original KC/MKM around that figure ? If a stadium was to be built solely for us and Citys U21s am I right in thinking it wouldnt have to be all seater ? That would bring the cost down dramatically I would have thought. Even more so if MKM are to sponsor the whole campus.
Still think a seperate stadium is way off though, more likely to be state of the art training facilities for City and more things for other sports. If we can secure a 25 year lease min at the stadium that would do me.
I have heard though Acun isnt a fan of sharing the stadium however he is a reasonable guy who is far from kicking us to the curb and he would rather rehome us.
Something like Wire's ground would do me . Standing along one touch line and behind one set of posts with seats in both other stands , Some how I don't think £25 m would come close .

I think Leigh & Wire's ground host football matches .
Suprised people are fixating on the 12k capacity and no lightbulbs going off, as Stevo has said im pretty sure the mkm stadium would be allowed to be used for derby matchs and any other that bring higher capacitys. Pretty straight forward id of thought. Id guess Pearson would strike a deal where we paid less rent for a smaller stadium and maybe are charged one off fees for the use of the larger stadium for the bigger games.
I think the turks are very ambitious, what with ulker looking to get involved with hull city, next season i think were looking ag hull city seriously competing for top 6, if they do get promotion i think the prices Acun will charge for premiership football you could well see gates pushing 30k.
Kids go free currently, apart from north stand , i pay 3 quid a month for my lad in north stand, can you imagine how many young kids would want to go see premiership football for even a slight increase of 5 quid a month.
For City its quite easy for the MKM to be increased to 30k as the East stand was built with foundations to add the extra tier. However my view would be they need to reach the Premier League and survive the 1st season for that to be worthwhile, and Acun will have learnt the hard way already that you cant just spend you way out The Championship its a very competitive league.
I also dont think playing in a 30k stadium should worry FC, if you sit in the West Lower the West Upper being closed makes little difference to atmosphere due to the design, so dont think it would make a massive difference to the East stand either. How the team are performing has a bigger impact on atmosohere than empty seats in my opinion.
The key issue is that relations between Hull FC and Hull City and the SMC are sounding much friendlier and far more open.
I'm not keen at all on the idea of us playing at a 12k capacity stadium. That's too small, every game would have to be all ticket. I'd be OK with a second stadium on the site if it's possible but would want at least a 15k stadium.

Whilst any development will likely to be someway off the idea of using a smaller stadium of 12K for games with lower ticket sales but then the MKM for sales over 12K isn’t really workable. Firstly pass holders would need two different reserved seats and secondly what happens when you sell a ticket with a seat number for a 12K stadium but then tickets sales go over the 12K mark what do they do about reserved seating with a change of stadium? Also say the club pre sell 10K tickets that only leaves 2K free for walk ups so the idea of playing out of a 12K stadium doesn’t seem viable at all and would hamper any growth of fanbase. Think the money that would need to be spent would be best used on other aspects of any development. The whole point of the KC was for all 3 clubs to play out of it, as rovers turned down the opportunity for obvious reasons it should remain both clubs use it for natchdays. Still hurdle of Hull Fair to get over before anything can happen.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

Agree we should be aiming higher than 12k. If we ever start challenging at the top and winning trophies again (unlikely at the moment) we should be more ambitious. 15/16k would be ideal. Even a small club like Rovers have been known to fill a 12k capacity stadium. Although admittedly very rarely.
As ULLFC stated it's how the team are performing that creates the atmosphere. The empty seats would be irrelevant.

Between 2007 and 2011 our average attendance was over 12,000 each season.
