I'm really pleased we have a coach from outside, like others I dont have much idea about what he is like as a coach, but the club will have done their research, he knows SL (which I think is important).
Nearly every SL club appoints an NRL assistant rather than a a head coach when bringing in an Aussie.
I hope there is still a place for Last at the club, although saying that maybe a change if clubs would do he good in the long term.

Good luck Brett, time to start recruiting.
According to Pearson, Last has been offered an alternative position

There’s no guarantee with any Coach coming whether a big name or not. Fans have been wanting a coach from outside the club and with no connections to it. So they go and get a Coach from Aus but it’s not the right one!!! Brett Hodgson might not be world reknowned for coaching but he may well be the ideal choice and get the best out the players. To be honest there aren’t many quality coaches that are available. If BH has the same impact at Hull that Holbrook had at St’s that’ll do me.
I really enjoy long walks especially when they are taken by people I don't like!

How about you tell me why he will be successfulOriginal post edited
I'm not saying he will be successful, but I'm prepared to give him a chance unlike you who immediately comes on here and starts moaning and complaining, but then that's all you ever do.
No disrespect to Andy but we need a fresh start, new ideas. Some folk on here are naive if they believe Pearson just used his own judgement. Gaz Ellis, Fitzgibbon , Kearney amongst a few would have given their input. Let’s get behind Brett.

Used to live near me and got his fruit and veg from the same shop, nice lad. I used to try and poison his oranges when he was at Huddersfield and they were playing Rovers. I also wanted to wang him in the canal a la Tallis, but Ms. Terrorista wouldn't let me.
If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.
It's a fresh start, a new broom, that most of us have been calling for. I can't believe the moaning of some on here so far. Let's see what Brett brings before judging. I'm excited about the unknown and at least have renewed optimism. Welcome to the club Brett and good luck.

I can't look at him without the adjectives "wiry" and "gnarly" permeating my brain. If I were in our squad and fond of an off season pie I'd be rethinking my food plans for the next few weeks.

Your misses told you what to do? what a gutless wimp you are. Get a grip Sandro. More importantly could you tell by the way he handled the fruit if he was going to be a Super League winning coach?
