Whilst Ratu has certainly done well in his short time in league and has scored some great tries he has also been in the not so great category too towards the end of the season. Faraimo needs to work on his defence in particular staying on his wing and way too many times has he come in far too much and left massive holes and overlaps when all he needed do was stay put on the wing.
For me Swift has been wrongly bagged and I would probably have in the 17 ahead of both currently. I'd also rather see Connor back in at centre with either Swift or Ratu and have Mahe on the wing with Carlos as the centre.
An awful lot of work is needed on our passing and speed of play to maximise the potential of the outside backs. We also need to improve line speed massively in both defence and attack.
Jones, Sau, Griffin ans Savelio should be devasting on the edges and even more so combining them with the backs we have but it we need much quicker speed to our play. Which should leave us with greater attacking options and not solely reliant on Sneyd kick to the corner, a bit bit of Kelly magic or the forwards to try and barge over.
If they are allowed to play on the edge. We all saw what happened to Pritchard. It will be a shame if Radford uses the second rows down the middle again as Griffin could have real impact next season if left wide and introduced off the bench at the right times

I’m not really concerned about the majority of the starting line up next season since we’ve signed some great players. The big one for me is Connor to FB. It would be a master stroke IMO

Your squad may just be good enough to squeeze into the top 5 but nowhere near enough to trouble the big boys, your weak mentality, poor coach and atrocious attack means you won’t be anywhere near the grand final for a long time

The problem this year was that the spine of 1,6,7and 9 generally exhibited little to no creativity. Not changing personnel in these positions will produce the same result next year no matter how good the forwards and backs are.
Connor to 1 would introduce more creativity but we need much more from the rest of the spine and the current players in these positions are not the answer.
1,6,7,9 can only operate if your winning the forward battle and the ruck, since losing Watts we have looked poor up the middle and consistently lost the arm wrestle in the middle of the park. For me we are two quality props short

even a kr waller like myself ,has to say its a very strong starting 13 and they are certain to be top 5 or even better next year

Agreed but can’t see us changing Sneyd, Houghton or Kelly. Connor to FB would be biggest improvement for me and keeps him happy too. I’m not a big fan of Shaul unless the whole entire team is firing on all cylinders. We could also have two settled centres being Tui and Fonua. I certainly don’t think Tui should be moved he’s too damn good. Connor would offer plenty from FB

I must have missed something, I thought Connor wanted to play in the halves? Suggesting we drop Shaul will get us shot.
