These injuries are precisely why we have a squad with the depth we've got. Admittedly, there are quite a lot of injuries all coming at once, but we can't control that so all we've left to focus on is what we can control, and use the squad we've got.
The young players that make up the majority of our squad depth will now have the perfect chance to stake their claim and prove what they can do. It could be the making of them.
The good thing is that Radford's given Fash, Masi and Turgut a fair few games last year (think Fash did about 20 games in 2017?) plus loaning Hadley to Wakey in hindsight was invaluable. My view is that we invest more in our first 17 proportionally than some squads though, so injuries in that group have a bigger impact on the whole; just my opinion.

Agree about the youngsters being given game time having a benefit for us now.
My main issue is using Hadley or Washbrook out of position slightly at 9. Could have been the perfect opportunity to have blooded Jez Litten this weekend if he'd have been part of the tour squad. I think he should be used (either at the start or off the bench) in rotation with Hadley/Washbrook at 9 to see how he goes, and then promote him to more minutes if he stands up.
Washbrook and Hadley may be required in their more traditional back-row roles with the players we have out.

I wouldn't play Washy there personally when Hadley has a massive engine and did well for Wakey there. We have more depth in the forwards with Masi, Turgut, Fash, Downs and IMO it's just too early for Litten to be facing up against Parcell, McShane, Roby etc week in week out.

Posterior Cruciate Ligament. Knee injury basically. Don't think it's as bad as either the anterior or medial ligaments, often they are as a result of hyperextension or twisting. Think the posterior ligament is inside the middle of the knee, but I'm no anatomy expert.
We're the only club in the comp with only 1 recognised hooker in the squad due to houghton's superhuman qualities but it cost us last year and will likely cost us this. Hadley can do a job there but we saw yesterday how poor we are with ball in hand without houghton directing things. Could be a long couple of months
