Griffin may have been playing better but has no guile to be a quality centre that we need and his tackling,passing/timing is not good enough. If Kelly is fit then Connor is the best option at right centre. For me Griffin is ideal coming off the bench as an impact second row.Had his best games coming off the bench. If we sign another big centre/wing to replace Fonua and the more i see Griffin play he is more suited to a second row forward.

He had plenty of guile in the MPG.
Griffin appeared to me to be suffering with confidence. Maybe it was the new environment, the expectation, the bigger crowds I don't know, but he's beginning to find his feet. His defence has always been his downfall, it's his reading of the game and positing, rather than his physicality, but again, I've seen this improving of late.
Also, we're not a side that throws it wide often. He's barely had a chance in open space, and rarely gets the ball in a position to put his winger away. It's similar for Carlos & Fonua on the other wing. We don't play expansive rugby and I think he's taken a while to adapt to that and realise how he could be more effective in the way that the team plays.
He's not a second rower IMO

Slightly surprised by that considering our recent track record against them. Suppose we did sort them out when it came to the crunch on a sunny Welsh day twelve years ago. We will outnumber them, we have the mental toughness and fortitude of last year's experience to help us, and the Keepmoat is our friend. We have a shot.

. And there I was thinking Billy Liar was a fictitious character in a film. You may have sold more than us, but the ground only holds 15000 and our allocation have all been sold. Maybe they should have given us some of the tickets you can't sell.

I don't have a problem with the bookies making Hull favourites, just surprised it's every single bookie ! I don't know what they're basing it on, we have a great recent record against you, are higher in the league, and rested most of the team last week. They are not in the business of losing money, so they have maybe just gone with a gut feeling. One thing is for sure, on paper it's a cracker and I can't wait till Saturday. I've a feeling there will be some very sore bodies amongst the Leeds team on Sunday morning. Let's just hope they're laughing through the pain.
