I thought it was called ESL as in European Super league not UK Super league.

You could just about finance another 2 SL clubs by giving the championship teams next to nothing as was the case in the past.

After all, if we go back to licensing what is the point in giving £700k + to championship teams? The only reason they get that kind of money is to give some sort of chance for the teams making the middle 8's. Scrap the system and the big funding for the championship will surely be scrapped too.

This is what I believe will happen but not until 2019 there will only be tweaking for 2018.

14 teams is a useless number. Not enough for only 2 games against each and too many for additional fixtures unless you don't play everyone.

With the sky money now being about £1.6m that means an extra £15m or so to the clubs during the current TV contract which seems unlikely.

Just about agree with this, but I'd go to 14 teams, and I can think of 20 teams I'd rather have in SL than the French or Canadians, and that includes Rovers.

Aye. If they don't have at least a 100year history and located in the heartlands, we don't want em in.

The exposure it will bring, more sponsorship hopefully here and in Toronto, more importantly bigger exposure for Rugby league.

Hopefully in a few more years, could take a decade, North America will have their own league and we could create a real world club series round Robin
