We're carrying players (again) starting with Ellis, Michaels is no great shakes, we've disposed of expensive players in the past. In his prime Ellis was world class, but we need to move on.

I rate Ellis very highly, I wasn't posting when he first signed, just think we could use him on the coaching staff, if he decides to stay.

We are certainly aren't carrying Ellis, is on a reduced contract and if he stays it will be reduced again. I'm happy if he plays 20 games a season.

"Carrying" is obviously too strong, just frustrated by how much we miss him, but that isn't his fault. Other players need to step up. (Apologies to Gareth if you read the earlier posts)

The reliance on Ellis has been huge, which is testament to what a great player he has been.
Really don't know how we go about replacing him. Or Mini (even though I was unsure about his signing at first).
I remember reading an article when he signed, and his Dad (Ken) told him that if he signed for Hull and brought success, he'd be considered a club legend, which is not always the case at other clubs.
