I'd probably drop Talanoa after Friday to be honest
That's the difficulty isn't it. You want youngsters to get as much first team experience as possible, but at the same time the coach/club need results and have to play their best team available.
Wigan aren't playing Forsyth, Davies & Marshall at the moment for their development. They're playing because Burgess, Gildart & Manfredi are injured.
What Wigan do better than every other club, and I used Wigan as they're the benchmark in this regard, is develop their youngsters so that they're able to slot into the first team as seamlessly as possible. This isn't a fluke. They play the same systems throughout their club, so when called upon, a youngster as well as having the skills, understands the system and exactly what their job is when they step up.

First year at the Roosters, Moa was outstanding, but then he lost his impact and became a prop who did decent minutes, and that eroded the kind of player he was good at
