You pick out Westerman as if he represents all players who have plaed for England. Westerman has always rated himself more than anyone else has and this has always been his problem. If he could marry himself, I suspect he would.
Scott Taylor, Marc Sneyd and Liam watts have all spoken of how they would love to play for England and hoe it motivates them. If you told them they can no longer play for their country and they are all on settled long contracts what else do they have to motivate them to play well?
