If we're planning on bringing in a 6, would you want Abdull, HTW, Dean, Sneyd, new signing and Carlos as cover?. Maybe Dean got the heads up a while back that Rovers would put £35k on the table, maybe we don't think he's worth that? All speculation but there are likely all sorts of factors at play. There are a lot of promising players in the 23s so hardly surprising some are attracting interest from other clubs. We can't keep them all.
We should be looking to keep the best ones though, and Dean also plays FB. Long term Abdull will play 13 so we're back to only HTW as an out and out half back.

Fair enough, but of that group we've got Turgut (think he captained the England academy?), Lancaster, Downs, Fash, Litten, Matongo, HTW, Abdull, Dean, maybe Osborne in that group too. Would be highly unlikely that they'd all make it to regular first team at FC.

Leeds have a lot of players coming through to the first team but they release a lot also (we signed a couple)as you say you can't keep everybody Wigan send a lot out on loan so not to lose them

Unless abdul sorts his fitness out he'll be playing championship rugby is a couple of years

Litten is the star of the group and is the type of player the 1st team is crying out for.
Clavering will end up been better than the forwards you've mentioned in that list too IMO.
My main concern with our youth setup is that it is really forward heavy hence why Turgut has had to start playing centre and Gilbey from Doncaster is playing centre for the 23's too.

This is the point for me. We're fortunate at the moment to have a strong group in the U23s, some of whom could well make it, and without us backing the 23s some of these would probably have been binned off already. It's not surprising that other teams are looking at them too, and if they're willing to pay a premium that we don't think is justified, it's inevitable that some will leave. Lancaster, Abdull, Turgut, Logan have all recently played for England's academy, Litten and Clavering have been called up to the national squad too, HTW has long been touted as our future half back and Matongo continues to get good reports. I haven't seen enough of Reece Dean to judge whether he's the one to prioritise, but I'd be surprised if we could afford to keep him on the same money he's supposed to have been offered elsewhere in the context of several other promising players coming through at the same time.

How far are Litten and Clavering from the first team mate and what type of player's are they?

Litten reminds me so much of Daryl Clark in that he is a really instinctive player and rapid when he scoots off.
Clavering is a offloading 13 who puts himself about in defence but is playing for the 19's still even though he is too good for that level and should be playing for the 23's IMO.
Litten should be pushing for a spot on the bench for the start of next season and Clavering is hard to call because with forwards they tend not to break through until their early 20's so he more of a long term prospect.

Exactly. Abdul has been a huge disappointment, in more than one sense. He's overweight and unfit, which is inexcusable IMO and points to an attitude problem.

Pearson has said on several occasions that he would love nothing more than to get Jordan away from the family home, that is where the bad influences are unfortunately.
