I'd have a problem with it. Not every high tackle is the same. Some are genuine attempts when the tackler has just slipped a bit high, some are full on clotheslines with zero attempt at a proper tackle made.
Same with shoulder charges, some are guys not quite getting their technique right and others are a full on late hit usually on a playmaker after he's passed the ball.

I agree that there is a scale of severity. However, with the concerns surrounding the impact of blows to the head in the NFL (and NRL), the sport needs to be seen to be doing everything it can to prevent head injuries, even those that occur in later life. I think an automatic yellow would encourage the players to improve their technique.

I agree we need to do what we can to lessen the concussion issue but at the same time you can't keep stripping sports down especially RL. Since they've introduced the concussion rules I think I've seen more players leave the field because they got their technique wrong when trying to tackle around the thighs and copping one than from high tackles.

Based on that last night's game would never of had 13 v 13. Either your perfect or you've never played the game. Plenty of times you go to make a legal tackle and through tiredness or simply getting done by good foot work you can hit someone high. For me the elbows on the face as man going to the floor is far worst. Sneaky and no chance of ball carrier defending himself

I think pritchard was pretty frustrated with things last night and didn't have his best game but still gained over 100m in possession. We need to be smarter how we use him. Last night he was pretty much just a dummy runner when near their line so it became easy to defend. We're also over playing him and need to spell him better to keep him fresh. Get him on near the end with some running still left in his legs and he'll be difficult to stop.
That said, cas did a great job of keeping him quiet
Good point. Radford has to use him more carefully for maximum impact. Frank was clearly frustrated and blowing out of his anus and should have been subbed earlier. We have the luxury of Manu and Mini's ability to play long minutes to compensate that. So far we haven't seen the best of Frank but I've no doubt he will live up to expectations.
Just don't get the pleas to use Frank sparingly !!!
FFS he played upwards of 60 mins in nearly every game for the Bulldogs last year & was generally their best player, always running onto the ball at pace.
Really disappointed with last Thursdays showing & hope it was a blip, everybody has off days - just hope that was his.
