We could front load franks wages this year and pay him 500k for example, with only the first 175k counting on the cap, and they pay him 50k a year for the rest of his contract. Next season, do the same for another player. Not sure whether that'd be allowed though ha.
....the salary cap upper limit of 50% of "Club Relevant Income" is supposed to prevent clubs spending beyond their means. I guess it might also catch the £500k front loading of a salary, but I'm sure Mr Koukash will have worked this one out.
Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

don't think we would av a problem with cap I doubt very much if big Frank is on 175k more like 120k and if we wish to move him into the salary cap and class someone else as the new marquee then that should be ok the point being as long as only one top paid player does not count against the cap
Now with Price, Yemo, Whiting, Michaels (who would av to move on to create an overseas spot ) feka, probably Naughton if he wont sign a new contract there should be a fair bit of movement upgrades to Green and Bowden will have to be offered cause with Feka possibly going we would need them and there going great, but we have plenty of cover in our promising youngsters who I think will be ready next year like Fash, Jansin, Lancaster, Downs, Littern Dean, Tyson-Wilson, Osborne all great prospects the only weakness been Littern still being very young at 18 for super league but we have washy also, looks like we could get Benji and what a signing he would be, he would make Chase seem like an amateur hes top class

'Nuff said.
In the oz press it's already been near enough said they expect him over here Pryce Michaels Feka Whiting Yeaman Naughton Hadley would make it very doable imo

So perhaps this may have a impact on any future recruits. Could we afford a marquee signing? Let's hope home attendances go up and the team encourages that with the performances we have se so far in 2016. That way, we may be able to continue spending at the max cap.
I personally would buy another strike centre and move Carlos Tuimavave to 6 for 2017.
You'd take a kid that for whatever reason at 24 hasn't made it as a 6 and who currently looks like the most dangerous centre in the comp and move him into his failed position. Hypothetically speaking if he was to stay fit and maintain this form he'd be a man of steel contender.

Worth keeping either Yeaman or Whiting as a squad player as all of the salary doesn't count on the cap. After these two, who is out longest serving player, Houghton?
I don't see too much movement in squad terms next year.

Pointless keeping either imo. More so by next year with turgut downs etc another year on. Danny h testimonial next year? Must be near. If so could lose half his salary

if he goes well for the dragons this year then they would offer to extend his contract for at least 1 more year I would have thought, unless they have a replacement already lined up.

Already confirmed he's leaving them. No oz club would probably offer more than a yr. So a 2/3 yr deal would prob get him over here

I like Whiting but no sense in keeping either player for next season
